Employment Opportunities

We are currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year.

Thank you for your interest in employment with Double Helix STEAM School. Double Helix is a wonderful place to work filled with creative, caring teachers and motivated, curious learners. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about teaching and learning, committed to the success of every student we serve, and strive to promote a creative, collaborative, and innovative environment for learning. Come join us!

Double Helix is a small private school serving 4th - 8th graders. It is a school that celebrates the intersection of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. We are rooted in standards, but not bogged down by them. We are a school in which "teachable moments" drive instruction. This is a school that allows students to construct their own knowledge through projects and explorations without sacrificing the need to build requisite skills. We meet children where they are; we know where they need to be; and we honor multiple ways of getting there. Students take both traditional classes — language arts, math, social studies and science — and non-traditional classes such as our makerspace classroom which synthesizes all of the subjects. Students also have an amazing array of elective classes to choose from. Some vary each semester; some are mainstays of the school. Paste elective classes have included archery, art, music, Lego League, yearbook, literary magazine, Spanish, volunteering at the Humane Society, drama, yoga, embroidery, hiking, and so much more.

We have a variety of employment opportunities each school year, including both full-time and part-time teaching positions as well as substitute teaching positions.
